Supplied with all iPhone 7, the Lightning
adapter to 3.5mm mini-jack is Apple's answer for those who do not want to get
rid of all their earphones and headphones connected by a jack. This small
adapter that has just slip between the iPhone and the cable from the headset
can transmit sound, obviously, but also the controls to manage playback and
volume.
The sound always goes smoothly. However, the
first users noted that the controls do not always meet, which is frustrating.
If this happens, simply disconnect the adapter and connect it again and you
will find the controls. But why is it that the buttons do not respond
systematically, as was the case with the jack?
It is not known, but the inconvenience is very
hard everyday. If you do not touch the controls for over two minutes, while the
terminal screen is off, the buttons will not respond at all. The sound always
happening, but you should unplug and plug in the adapter again to find the
controls.
This problem is not related to the iPhone 7,
but the adapter and we noticed the same behavior with an iPhone 6S Plus.
Moreover, the EarPods Lightning also supplied in the box with the new phones
are not affected. Hopefully it is only a bug that will be corrected at the next
update to iOS 10 because it quickly becomes unbearable in the state.
