Over the past few days, instant messaging service WhatsApp
has launched a new feature that allows users to record short video clips of up
to one minute and send them directly in conversations.
The new feature is one of many WhatsApp sites from the Telegram app, including the edit sent messages feature, the channel feature, the send images in-app feature in high HD quality, and many more.
And WhatsApp said in a blog post, "We think this
feature will provide a fun way to share moments with all the feelings that can
appear in the video clip, whether it's on a birthday or to inform someone of
good news."
WhatsApp said instant video messages will be protected by
end-to-end encryption, to safeguard users' privacy and the content of their
messages.
How do you use WhatsApp's instant video messaging function?
Similar to sending a voice message, sending a video message
is simple. Press the microphone icon to switch to video mode, then press and
hold the camera icon to start recording. Release your finger on the camera icon
after recording and the video will be sent automatically.
To record a video without having to keep your finger on the
screen, you can also follow these instructions:
- Open the WhatsApp application on your mobile device.
- Select the chat where you wish to submit the video, either
one-to-one or in a group.
- To change the symbol from audio recording to video
recording, click on the microphone icon next to the chat field.
- To install free recording, long-press the camera icon,
then swipe up. Press the send button to transmit your message when the recording is
complete.
Note:
To record a video in
free recording mode, you can toggle between the front and rear cameras. It's
important to note that the WhatsApp service has recently started offering the
option in certain countries. It will be available worldwide over the next few
weeks, so if you don't see it right away, just give it a little more time.
New WhatsApp features include the ability to block unknown callers:
The Silence Unknown Callers feature
In the most recent period, WhatsApp has introduced several new features, including Silence Unknown Callers, which automatically blocks
unwanted calls, scam calls, and calls from unidentified people to give you
greater privacy and protection.
The ability to edit sent messages
The ability to edit messages after they have been sent has
also been introduced. This feature is crucial, as it gives you the chance to
correct any spelling mistakes that may have occurred due to the haste with
which you wrote your message, as well as to clarify it by adding more
information after you've sent it.
You can read the article "How do you edit WhatsApp
messages after they've been sent?" to find out more about this feature and
how to use it.
Chat Lock feature:
It has also introduced a new feature called (Chat Lock),
which lets you protect your private chats using your device's password or
biometrics such as a fingerprint.
Discussions you wish to keep private are moved by this
feature from the inbox to a separate folder named (Locked Conversations). You
can protect your most crucial data by locking it with your device's password or
biometric data such as a fingerprint.
