Google has managed to develop its own line of phones
Google has developed its own line of Android-based phones with
notable benefits. This year's Pixel 7 Pro is an example. Compared to the
previous year's Pixel, it hasn't had a major overhaul, but it has enough
improvements to be worth a look.
The Pixel series with a neat version of the operating system
The Pixel series offers consumers a more polished version of the Android
operating system with an emphasis on enhanced AI features for the Google
Assistant and, more importantly, its camera rather than the system's...
unmodified stock Android operating system that it once used. Along with unique
phone features like Direct My Call to navigate automated phone menus and spam
prevention, you'll get Android upgrades and additions first.
Multiple customization choices
There are several screen customization choices as well as an adaptive
brightness feature that allows the phone to learn your preferences in various
lighting conditions. Google Assistant now has a few additional features, such
as short phrases for simpler voice commands, which give the system a more
individualized feel. While none of these updates are particularly romantic, and
many users aren't even using them, they're exclusive to Pixel 7 phones.
The technical characteristics of the Pixel 7 Pro
The Tensor Processor is a purpose-built processor used by the Pixel and
largely geared towards AI functions. The Pixel 7 has a screen size of 6.3
inches, while the Pixel 7 Pro has a screen size of 6.7 inches with a maximum
refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 1440 pixels. Even though the overall
design of the Pixel 7 is almost identical to the previous year's Pixel 6, the
bezel around the screen is relatively modest.
With the Pixel 7, face unlock is back, after being absent for a few
generations. Users can now unlock their phones using their fingerprint, face, or
lock code. Additionally, the in-display fingerprint scanner seemed to work more
consistently than on the Pixel 6 Pro. In general, facial recognition worked
effectively. Usually, if there was enough light, I could just glance at the
phone and it recognized my face. Face unlock just didn't work at all in dim or
dim environments.
Some significant improvements over the Pixel 6 have become apparent. One
difference is that the phone is considerably better at finding and maintaining
a signal without having to refresh it or briefly go into airplane mode.
Battery life has sparked significant debate as some users believe it to be
significantly shorter than Google's claim of "over 24 hours".
The Pixel's camera is its biggest selling point. The 7 Pro has a 48MP
sensor for its single Super Res zoom, a 50MP sensor, and a 12MP ultra-wide
camera. This feature enables 30x digital zoom on the Pixel 7 Pro (the standard
Pixel 7 has 8x zoom). 10.9 megapixel fixed lens camera on the front of the
device.
The Pro's telephoto lens allows zoom to be used without compromising image
quality, making daytime images even better. By compensating for unsteady hands,
the zoom stabilization feature helps make things even clearer. The camera is
easy to use and consistently produces high-quality images.
The main finding in photos, Google's night mode photography is slowly
improving. The Pixel 7 Pro can take stunningly beautiful nighttime images
thanks to its hardware and AI prowess.
Conclusion
Overall, the Pixel 7 Pro is an improvement over previous versions, which
were great phones on their own. The new Pixel is undoubtedly the best option if
you want the latest features and updates and you're using Android. The 7 Pro
doesn't stand out on its own with any of the Pixel-specific features (which may
or may not carry over to other phones), but it performs admirably overall. The
camera is exceptional, easily among the best available on a mobile device, and
is the main selling feature of the device.
